Small children and infants

Let’s Face it, toddlers are on their own schedules! The big day comes, your wrestling baths, getting everyone fed, dressed and their hair combed. By the skin of your teeth you get everyone out of the house, and not even 15 minutes into our session, your toddler decides now is a good time to throw a tantrum. Its ok! I have been there so many times I’ve lost count! At that point we have a few options. We can try snacks and tickles, a 10-minute breather/ break or we can reschedule altogether. Of course, after all that trouble getting everyone ready, rescheduling seems daunting, but hey, it happens! Here’s a few suggestions that may help before the session!

Naps! This is a big one! We all know little kids burn out quickly, so if you can, let your love get some rest a couple of hours prior to our session.

Full bellies! Ill have small snacks, but just like us adults’ kids get hangry, and at that point there’s not much we do! Maybe no Spaghetti day of, but a good lunch beforehand could help!

Get some of the getting ready done a bit earlier then right before you all leave the house. The hustle and bustle is overwhelming to our little guys, and we can always wipe faces and tweak hair when you show up.

Sometimes I play music during our sessions! We can have a Disney dance off! Some of my favorite images come from playing games like hide and seek and tickles from mom and dad! I am more than ok going full journalist mode and just capturing your children at play! I will of course still try to get that perfect picture to hang on the wall but letting personalities shine is what my brand is all about!

*Please note in the instance we have to stop our session due to unhappy kiddos, you must reschedule with me within 48 hours or you may incur a rescheduling fee. This is laid out more in my contract.
